Custom Engineered Drivers
Speaker drivers are the core of an audio system— they create sound waves as the voice coil vibrates the diaphragm. The magnet that drives Sound Platform's voice coil is a unique blend of iron and carbon that allows a longer excursion of the diaphragm. This "long throw" displaces a large air volume which creates deep, smooth bass sound waves. Compared to standard drivers in its class, our custom speakers gain approximately +6dB sound pressure level output between 2kHz and 10kHz.
Our diaphragm is reinforced with Kevlar fiber which provides low-weight, well dampened rigidity to control its motion. The D-Class amplifier that controls power to the speakers is precisely tuned to take full advantage of the speakers capabilities.

UQ3 Spatial Sound Enhancement
Relative to larger speaker systems, compact home audio products have a relatively short distance between the left and right speakers resulting in limited stereo separation.
We developed our proprietary UQ3 DSP technology to create a psychoacoustic effect by controlling sound wave interaction that enhances the perceived stereo separation. The benefit is that you get a compact system while enjoying an immersive audio experience. |

Dual Port Chambers
The Dual Port Chambers control air flow in the system, similar to a manifold and exhaust in a car. Using reinforced plastic resin and sealed assembly, Sound Platform eliminates air "leaks" and unintended reverberation that degrade sound performance. As the speaker ports wrap from the driver to the rear ports, the nautilus shaped path increases the air travel while allowing the acoustic chamber to fit within a compact footprint.

SPL v. Frequency Performance
The SPL v. Frequency graph shown is one measurement tool used to tune and test speaker systems. The sound pressure level output measured in dB on the y-axis is plotted against the frequency of the sound wave along the x-axis. Our sound signature was meticulously tuned to achieve fidelity and clarity across a broad frequency range. While there is a trend in current home audio systems to over-emphasize bass, our goal is to deliver a balanced and natural tone that complements every genre of music at any listening volume.

Range
Human hearing range varies for each person, but averages between 20Hz for low frequencies and 20kHz for high pitch tones. The chart shows the correlation between frequency (measured in Hz) and notes on a piano keyboard (and beyond). As shown on the graph, Sound Platform can replicate the full tonal range of the human voice and instruments from low frequency bass to high frequency. |
Fidelity
Fidelity is the accuracy of reproducing the tones that were originally recorded by the artist and sound engineer. An idealized SPL curve is flat across the spectrum from low to high frequencies. Our D-Class Amp and DSP (Digital Signal Processor) are tuned to dynamically re-produce a balanced sound across the frequency spectrum. |
Clarity
In a lab, you can test audio with single tones, but real life music and audio is a combination of many sounds simultaneously. Cross over effects and interference can create a "muddy" audio experience. Precision tuning of Sound Platform's amp, DSP and full-range drivers dynamically adjust so that at both low and high volume listening each voice and instrument is heard— accurately and distinctly. |
